Airfares On The Rise

With the rise in oil prices, it was only a matter of time before airlines adjusted fares to compensate.

If you've filled your car recently, you know that gas prices are outrageous. The U.S. average is $3-$4 a gallon, which is about $1 more than even six months ago.

It was only a matter of time before airlines adjusted their rates to cover the fuel increase.

Don't get me wrong, there are still the occasional good deals out there, but they're getting harder to find. On average, cross-country trips will set you back $75-$100 more than last fall and shorter trips are averaging $30-$50 more.

Apart from lucking into a sale, there are ways to ensure that you get the lowest price possible for your flight. You can read the full article of my tips here.

Good luck on getting that great price! And if you get a really amazing one, leave a comment.
